LogicMark's Predictive Activity Metrics Shift Medical Alert Technology from Reactive to Proactive Care

LogicMark Inc. (NASDAQ: LGMK) has launched predictive Activity Metrics within its Freedom Alert Max personal emergency response device, marking a significant shift from reactive emergency response to proactive health monitoring for older adults. The new feature continuously tracks users' daily steps and active time, using AI analytics to establish a personalized baseline and detect deviations that may signal health or behavioral changes.

Traditional medical alert systems typically activate only after an emergency, such as a fall. Activity Metrics aims to prevent emergencies by alerting caregivers to early indicators of mobility decline, fatigue, or other issues. "We're transforming medical alert technology by shifting from waiting for an emergency to happen to proactive health monitoring, recognizing changes in activity to prevent an emergency before it progresses into an emergent situation," said Chia-Lin Simmons, CEO of LogicMark.

The system collects motion and activity data through the Freedom Alert Max's built-in sensors and fall detection system. An algorithm analyzes this data over time, learning the user's normal routines and identifying unusual declines or spikes in activity. Caregivers receive alerts through LogicMark's Care Village app, enabling earlier intervention. For example, if an older adult's daily movement slowly decreases over weeks, Activity Metrics detects the trend and alerts caregivers to check for potential pain, weakness, or health issues before a fall occurs. Similarly, prolonged inactivity or sudden nighttime wandering may prompt investigation into fatigue, medication side effects, or cognitive decline.

Activity Metrics builds on LogicMark's recently launched Medication Reminders feature, which allows caregivers to send medication reminders directly to the device. Both features are part of the first phase of LogicMark's Predictive Care Village, an interconnected network designed to anticipate care needs. The company is also developing a patent-pending Care Village Digital Twin technology, which creates a virtual mirror of the user to predict future outcomes.

"Activity Metrics combined with features like our recently launched Medication Reminders, represent our commitment to proactive and preventative senior safety. Now, we can identify potential health issues and fall risks early, giving families and healthcare providers the insights they need to intervene before a crisis occurs," said Simmons.

LogicMark's Freedom Alert Max is an advanced personal emergency response system that provides 24/7 monitoring and emergency assistance both at home and on the go. The device enables two-way calling and fall detection monitoring. With the addition of predictive capabilities, LogicMark aims to empower aging adults to live independently, safely, and confidently through technology.
