Lowe Group Hires Veteran Journalist to Lead Media and Client Services

Lowe Group, one of the investment industry's top 20 financial PR and digital marketing agencies, announced that Stacy Vogel Davis has joined the firm as Media & Client Services Director. The hire brings more than 20 years of journalism and communications experience to a firm that serves asset managers, ETF sponsors, wealth managers, and other financial services providers.

Davis spent nearly a decade in newsrooms before transitioning to communications. At the Milwaukee Business Journal, she reported on banking, small business, technology, retail, restaurants, and tourism. She wrote the paper's Table Talk column and blog and appeared as a business news commentator on Fox 6-WITI TV, 620 WTMJ Radio, and WUWM's Lake Effect. As associate editor, she oversaw the publication's Forty Under 40, Women of Influence, Real Estate Awards, and Central City Business Awards sections. She began her career as a reporter at The Janesville Gazette, covering local government, schools, business, and Rock County, after internships at the Kenosha News and the Daily Herald. She also freelanced for the Milwaukee Business Journal and BizTimes Milwaukee.

Most recently, Davis served as communications director for The Water Council, a global nonprofit advancing water innovation and stewardship. There, she built relationships with national, trade, and local media and secured coverage in outlets including Forbes. She more than doubled the organization's LinkedIn following and led branding and launch strategy for a water stewardship verification program. Previously, she led public relations and publications for the Zoological Society of Milwaukee, providing communications leadership for the launch of a $25 million capital campaign.

Jody Lowe, president and founder of Lowe Group, emphasized the value of Davis's newsroom background. "Stacy spent years on the other side of the pitch, covering banking and business, so she knows what makes a story worth a reporter's time and what doesn't," Lowe said. "That newsroom instinct, combined with her in-house experience managing communications programs, is exactly what our asset management and wealth management clients need as they compete for attention in the crowded financial media. We're delighted to welcome her to the team."

The appointment matters because financial firms face increasing difficulty earning media coverage. With decades of newsroom experience, Davis understands how reporters evaluate story ideas. Her in-house communications roles also give her insight into the challenges clients face. This dual perspective can help Lowe Group's clients craft pitches that resonate with journalists and stand out in a saturated market.

Lowe Group has specialized in financial public relations, media relations, digital marketing, and content services since 2003. The firm creates visibility and raises awareness for asset managers, ETF issuers, wealth managers, and wealthtech/advisortech providers. Davis holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism, with a minor in Spanish, from Northwestern University. Her combination of journalism and communications leadership positions her to guide Lowe Group clients through an evolving media environment where authentic storytelling and strategic relationships are essential.
