Lucid Design District will host CHROMA 2025 – Vital Impulses in Contemporary Art during Miami Art Week, featuring 22 international artists whose works intersect with architecture, materiality, and sustainability. The exhibition, curated by Graciela Montich, opens on Wednesday, December 3, from 4:00–7:00 PM at Lucid Design District, 10 NE 41st Street, Miami, and runs through December 17, 2025. The event is free with RSVP via Eventbrite.
According to Montich, curating the exhibition through the lens of design highlights how art and interiors share the same emotional language. Each artist interprets balance, texture, and space differently, yet all invite reflection on how surroundings shape inner worlds. The 2025 interior design landscape embraces warmth, texture, and authenticity—values shared by the participating artists.
Artists such as Cari Cohen (Miami) reimagines architectural materials like concrete and plexiglass into sculptural compositions. Sebastian De La Paz (Ecuador/San Francisco), an architect and designer, brings structural sensibility to painting. Vanessa Gilbert (Canada) and Graciela Montich (Argentina/Miami) exemplify sustainable luxury: Gilbert through recycled and upcycled materials, and Montich through mixed-media works on linen. Mauro Arbiza (Uruguay) bridges art and architecture through sculptural forms emphasizing proportion and permanence. Sandra De Souza-Peixoto (Peru/Miami) and Nadine Vogel (Folly Beach, SC) contribute color-driven works echoing wellness and personalization themes.
These artists transform Lucid Design District into a dialogue between form and feeling, illustrating how art enhances inhabited spaces through harmony, tactility, and imagination. The exhibition is part of Lucid Design District's flagship program during Miami Art Week. Founder Payal Tak, after retiring from a technology career, opened the gallery in 2021 to provide accessible wall space for artists in a prime location. The space features 8 solo-curio spaces, an expansive reception gallery, and an outdoor installation wall.
