Massamagrell’s 9th Cultural Week Showcases Regenerative Tourism and Peace Culture Along the Holy Grail Path

The municipality of Massamagrell (Valencia) hosted the 9th Cultural Week "The Path of the Holy Grail" from October 20 to 24, consolidating its position as a key European cultural event that unites heritage, knowledge, spirituality, and local development. Organized by the Cultural Association "The Path of the Holy Grail" and the International Association "The Path of the Holy Grail" Cultural Itinerary, with collaboration from the Massamagrell City Council, the week exemplified institutional cooperation and innovation applied to culture.

Under the theme "Valencia, Jubilee City, The Path of the Holy Grail," the event featured exhibitions, conferences, roundtables, dramatized tours, and radio broadcasts. A pioneering aspect was the measurement of social, cultural, and environmental impacts using the Local Impact Observatory and the REGENERA Tur-IA CUBE technological platform. These tools, coordinated by ARTCARE Consulting, collected attendance indicators, citizen perception, and tangible results, contributing to a regenerative and smart tourism model linked to the Council of Europe's Cultural Route.

The president of the Association, Dr. Ana Mafé García, alongside secretary Jesús Gimeno and representatives of the scientific committee, led a program addressing cultural diplomacy, signage of The Path, culture of peace, and intercultural dialogue. These efforts are part of consolidating the Way of the Holy Grail as a European Cultural Route, currently undergoing certification by the Council of Europe. This recognition would place Massamagrell and the Valencian Community on par with historical routes like the Way of St. James and the Viking Routes.

The week began on October 20 with the exhibition "The Holy Grail" and a special radio program on Play Radio Valencia 107.7 FM, highlighting heritage memory and citizen participation. On October 21, a lecture on the epigraphy of the Holy Chalice and the traditional Pilgrim's Mass, officiated by Mr. José Ribes Perea, reinforced the route's spiritual connection. October 22 featured panels on "Cultural Diplomacy" and "The Camino and Signage," moderated by Dr. Fernando Molina Pons and Carmen de la Cagiga, focusing on institutional cooperation and shared governance.

On October 23, a radio program broadcast the Camino's progress, and the week concluded on October 24 with the dramatized route "The Library Path," an immersive experience uniting history, art, and the local community. The event coincided with the 2024 anniversary of the DANA, adding emotional resonance by highlighting the municipality's resilience and commitment to cultural and social regeneration.

Key conclusions from the week include: the Holy Grail Path acts as a driver of local transformation with sustainable positive impacts; the Local Impact Observatory proves useful for transparency and continuous improvement; and the REGENERA Tur-IA CUBE platform integrates artificial intelligence to create smart cultural routes. The 9th Cultural Week demonstrated that Massamagrell is not only the birthplace of the Holy Grail Path but also a space for innovation, dialogue, and peace, aligned with Council of Europe values.
