MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has announced a significant expansion of its natural hydrogen permit holdings in Saskatchewan, acquiring provincial permits covering an additional 660,263 acres (2,672 square kilometers) across south-central Saskatchewan. The expansion includes the newly named Aurora Project, a 628-square-kilometer area adjoining the existing Lawson project, creating a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor with potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and commercialization pathways. Additionally, MAX Power added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area, and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville, and Tribune.
Commercial-validation drilling continues at Lawson Complex #1, which represents Canada's first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system. The company and independent consultant GLJ Ltd. are completing reviews of data from the newly permitted areas to assess further exploration potential. Natural hydrogen, also known as white hydrogen, is a naturally occurring gas that could provide a low-carbon energy source, and Saskatchewan has emerged as a key region for its exploration.
