This year, the firm's attorneys and staff purchased materials and assembled Winter Kits and Hygiene Kits inside their office, organizing an assembly-line process to efficiently package cold-weather essentials, toiletries, and personal care items.
Sarah's Circle addresses homelessness among women through gender-sensitive, trauma-informed services, recognizing that women often become homeless for different reasons than men. Many women across Chicago grapple with financial instability, limited resources, and unsafe conditions, especially during the winter months. The nonprofit's work plays a key role in helping some of the city's most vulnerable women rebuild their lives.
Merel Family Law's hands-on project allowed the team to provide practical, immediate help during one of the most challenging seasons of the year.
