naoo AG Launches Generation V, Integrating Local Commerce with Digital Engagement

naoo AG (Dusseldorf: NAO, ISIN: CH1323306329) has announced the launch of naoo Generation V, a major platform update that integrates the previously announced naoo business directly into the app. The release, detailed in a March 16, 2026 press release, represents a pivotal milestone in the company's strategy to create a closed-loop ecosystem connecting digital engagement with real-world commerce.

Generation V is built on a fully renewed technological foundation, with both frontend and backend fundamentally rebuilt for scalability. The new architecture includes redesigned navigation, improved user experience, and a modern enterprise-grade Java backend. This overhaul is designed to support future growth and the integration of local activation formats.

With the rollout, naoo business is now directly integrated into the naoo app, enabling merchants to create localized offers and incentives. The company is following a dynamically scaling phased model to ensure rapid merchant integration while maintaining high quality in curated local content. A major focus of Generation V is the enhancement of the map functionality, which improves how digital content connects with physical places. As part of the current release, five cities are preconfigured: Zurich, Geneva, Berlin, London and New York City. Users will gradually discover curated local content on the map in these cities.

In combination with the demand generation capabilities of Kingfluencers AG, naoo sees the new platform as a basis for extending digital attention into measurable local activation. By the end of February 2026, naoo had reached approximately 160,000 cumulative downloads, providing an installed user base for this next stage. “With Generation V, naoo has a product architecture that creates unique value through local incentives, measurable activation around physical places leading to new funnel extension opportunities between digital attention and real-world interaction. This significantly expands the strategic possibilities of the platform,” says Gregor Doser, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director of naoo AG.

The company expects the integrated merchant layer and new technological architecture to support scalable merchant monetisation across further markets over time. naoo AG is headquartered in Zug, employs 41 people across its group operations, and is listed on the Dusseldorf Stock Exchange.
