Nevada Organic Phosphate Highlights U.S. $1 Billion Sustainable Farming Investment as Potential Tailwind

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP; OTCQB: NOPFF) has highlighted a U.S. government initiative investing more than $1 billion in sustainable farming research as a potential catalyst for the organic fertilizer market. The funding, which includes an additional $200 million announced in a joint statement from the Environmental Protection Agency, United States Department of Agriculture and United States Department of Health and Human Services, was reported by Reuters on Feb. 27, 2026. The company stated that this federal initiative could support organic fertilizer development and sustainable agriculture projects, potentially benefiting advancement of its Murdock Mountain organic raw rock phosphate property through increased market demand, research partnerships, regulatory alignment and access to sustainability-focused grants and incentives.

Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior exploration company with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed measuring 6.6 kilometres long in northeast Nevada. Additional applications extend the potential strike of rock phosphate to over 30 kilometres. The company believes this is the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America. It is situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California.

The U.S. investment aims to advance new and sustainable farm practices, which aligns with growing demand for organic and environmentally friendly agricultural inputs. Organic phosphate fertilizers, derived from natural rock phosphate without synthetic additives, could see increased adoption as farmers seek to meet sustainability goals. The funding could also facilitate research partnerships and regulatory frameworks that support organic fertilizer use, potentially opening new markets for Nevada Organic Phosphate's project.
