The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) has announced its 2025 Annual Scholarship Galas, set to celebrate Hispanic students pursuing careers in health professions. The events will take place in Los Angeles on November 21st and in Washington, DC on December 3rd, honoring students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving the Hispanic community.
According to NHHF, Hispanics are the largest ethnic group in the United States but remain underrepresented in the health workforce. This disparity underscores the need for culturally and linguistically competent professionals to address health disparities. NHHF's national scholarship program aims to tackle this challenge by supporting future Hispanic health leaders.
Each year, NHHF awards scholarships to students in medical, nursing, dental, public health, pharmacy, and physician assistant schools. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement and community service.
