Crit Team, an independent studio under ChillyRoom Game, has announced that a public multiplayer demo for No Such Place, its upcoming top-down PvE extraction shooter, will be available on Steam on June 15, 2026, just ahead of Steam Next Fest. The demo offers early progression content and supports both solo play and 1–4 player online co-op, with partial progression data carrying over into the full release. In No Such Place, players assume the role of agents from the Unknown Research Consortium (U.R.C.), a secret organization investigating supernatural anomalies erased from history. Players are dispatched into fragmented dimensions to survive hostile environments, gather supplies and intelligence, and locate an extraction point before time runs out. The game features exploration of abandoned military outposts, research facilities, eternal forests, and frozen mountains, where players scavenge for weapons, medicine, equipment, and uncover ancient relics and classified documents.
Survival is paramount, with threats ranging from monstrous entities to rival agents, mercenaries, and deranged survivors. A flexible weapon customization system allows players to attach mismatched parts—like a motorcycle suppressor to an assault rifle or a Victorian brass scope to modern hardware—using corrupted technology. Multiple progression paths enable players to grow stronger as they survive more missions, improving physical attributes and weapon proficiencies. Resources recovered in expeditions can be used to build and upgrade a Safehouse, providing a foundation for future survival.
Players can team up with up to three other agents in 4-player co-op, covering more ground, tackling dangerous objectives, and maximizing gains before extraction.
