The Nordex Group has raised its full-year 2026 EBITDA margin guidance to a range of 11.5% to 12.5%, up from the previous 8.0% to 11.0%, following preliminary unaudited third-quarter results that came in above market expectations. The revision, announced on October 15, 2026, signals a significant improvement in the wind turbine manufacturer's profitability and operational efficiency, with potential implications for investor confidence and the broader renewable energy sector.
Preliminary figures show Q3 2026 EBITDA of approximately EUR 278 million, compared to EUR 136 million in the same quarter of 2025, translating to an EBITDA margin of 12.7% versus 8.0% a year earlier. Revenues for the quarter are expected to reach around EUR 2,187 million, up from EUR 1,706 million in Q3 2025. These results were driven by higher margins in the Service segment and strong project execution, while risks previously assumed in the Projects segment did not materialize to the extent anticipated. The company's cash position also strengthened, with cash and cash equivalents totaling EUR 2,327 million at the end of Q3 2026, compared to EUR 1,929 million at the end of Q4 2025. Free cash flow for the quarter is expected to be EUR 379 million, up from EUR 149 million in Q3 2025.
Nordex expects free cash flow to remain positive in the fourth quarter, supported by additional profits, order intake momentum, and continued working capital improvement. All other elements of the full-year guidance remain unchanged: sales of EUR 8.2 to 9.0 billion, a working capital ratio below -9%, and capital expenditure of approximately EUR 200 million. The updated outlook underscores the company's ability to navigate a competitive market environment and deliver profitable growth.
CEO Jose Luis Blanco commented, "The third quarter shows what our teams can deliver. Strong execution in Projects and higher profitability in Service have put us in a very good position for the final quarter. We are raising our EBITDA margin guidance for 2026 and remain focused on profitable growth."
The Nordex Group has commissioned more than 67 GW of wind power capacity across over 40 markets since 1985 and generated consolidated sales of around EUR 7.6 billion in 2025. With more than 11,100 employees and manufacturing facilities in Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the US, and Turkiye, the company focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 7 MW+ classes, designed for markets with limited space and constrained grid capacity. Nordex SE is listed on the MDAX and TecDAX of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
For investors and industry observers, the guidance raise is a notable development. It suggests that Nordex is successfully managing project risks and capitalizing on the growing demand for renewable energy, particularly in regions where space and grid capacity are challenges. The improved cash flow and higher profitability could provide greater financial flexibility for future investments and shareholder returns. The full results for Q3 2026 will be published on November 5, 2026. For more details, see the original release on NEWMEDIAWIRE, and visit NEWMEDIAWIRE for more news.
