OLB, a universal bank with over 150 years of history in north-west Germany, has completed the previously announced reconstitution of its Management Board, effective 1 October 2026. The appointments, made by the Supervisory Board in coordination with supervisory authorities, signal a strategic alignment of leadership to steer the bank through its next phase of development. With total assets exceeding EUR 30 billion and a nationwide presence of 80 branches, OLB operates under the OLB and Bankhaus Neelmeyer brands, serving about one million customers. The bank has been directly supervised by the European Central Bank since early 2025 and has been owned by TARGO Deutschland GmbH, part of the cooperative Credit Mutuel Alliance Federale, since January 2026.
Michael Fust has been appointed Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Dr Rainer Polster, who left upon the expiry of his mandate on 30 September 2026. Fust, who joined OLB as General Representative in January 2026, brings extensive financial expertise from his tenure at TARGO Deutschland GmbH and KPMG. Annett Daldrup takes over as Chief Risk Officer, having served as General Representative at OLB since July 2026 and at TARGO Deutschland GmbH since March 2026. Her background includes senior roles at TARGOBANK, Airbus Bank GmbH, and UniCredit Bank AG. Chris Eggert, previously Chief Risk Officer, assumes the role of Chief Investment Officer, responsible for cash flow-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, including Corporates, Acquisition Finance, Football Finance, Fund Finance, Export Finance, and Financing Solutions.
The reconstituted Management Board now comprises Christophe Jehan (Chief Executive Officer), Annett Daldrup (Chief Risk Officer), Chris Eggert (Chief Investment Officer), Michael Fust (Chief Financial Officer), and Dr Andreas Houben (Chief Sales Officer). Christian Bessenroth, a General Representative since April 2026, completes the Management Team, overseeing asset-based financing activities within the Corporates & Diversified Lending segment, such as Commercial Real Estate, International Diversified Lending, Shipping, and Renewables. He reports to Chris Eggert. Isabelle Chevelard, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board, stated, “With its proven leadership and complementary areas of expertise, OLB’s Management Team is ideally positioned to lead the Bank into its next phase of development.”
This leadership transition is significant for OLB’s strategic direction, particularly in expanding its Corporates & Diversified Lending business and maintaining robust risk management. The appointments ensure continuity and leverage internal talent, with all new board members having previously held key roles within the bank or its parent group. For customers and investors, the completed board signals stability and a clear focus on growth. OLB’s digital and in-person services across its two strategic business areas—Private & Business Customers and Corporates & Diversified Lending—are expected to benefit from this experienced leadership team.
