Oncotelic Therapeutics’ Sapu003 Accepted for Presentation at 2025 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium

Oncotelic Therapeutics (OTCQB: OTLC) announced that Sapu Nano’s investigational intravenous Deciparticle everolimus (Sapu003) has been accepted for presentation at the 2025 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium, scheduled for December 9–12, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Sapu Nano is a joint venture between Oncotelic and Dragon Oversea. The presentation will showcase Sapu003, a novel Deciparticle formulation of everolimus designed to improve bioavailability, reduce toxicity, and enhance tumor penetration in HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer, renal cell carcinoma (RCC), and neuroendocrine tumors (NET).

The acceptance of Sapu003 at this prestigious symposium underscores the potential of Oncotelic’s technology platform. The Deciparticle technology aims to overcome limitations of conventional everolimus, an mTOR inhibitor currently used in various cancers but associated with significant side effects and limited tumor penetration. By encapsulating everolimus in a nanoparticle formulation, Sapu003 may offer a more effective and tolerable treatment option. This is particularly important for patients with HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer, the most common subtype of breast cancer, where resistance to endocrine therapy and chemotherapy remains a challenge.

Oncotelic’s CEO, Dr. Vuong Trieu, has filed over 150 patent applications and holds 39 issued U.S. patents, reflecting the company’s strong intellectual property position. The company’s PDAOAI platform and expertise in nanomedicines drive its pipeline. In addition to Sapu003, Oncotelic owns 45% of GMP Bio, another joint venture advancing drug candidates in oncology and rare diseases.

The San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium is one of the largest and most influential meetings focused on breast cancer research. Presenting Sapu003 data there could attract attention from potential partners and investors. For more details, the full press release is available at https://ibn.fm/wB4Hl. Updates on Oncotelic can be found at https://ibn.fm/OTLC.

The announcement is significant as it validates the preclinical and early clinical progress of Sapu003. If successful, Sapu003 could become a new standard of care for HR+/HER2- metastatic breast cancer and expand into other indications. The symposium presentation will likely provide efficacy and safety data, offering insights into its therapeutic potential. Investors and clinicians will be watching closely, as improved outcomes in breast cancer remain a high unmet need.
