Perpetuals.com Gains MiCA Authorization to Expand Crypto-Asset Services Across EU

Perpetuals.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: PDC) has received approval from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) to provide crypto-asset services under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA). The authorization, granted to Perpetual Markets MTF, which operates on Perpetuals technology, allows the company to operate a crypto-asset trading platform and offer custody and administration, order execution, order reception and transmission, and crypto-asset transfer services. This development marks a significant step in the company's expansion within the European Union.

The MiCA authorization builds on Perpetuals' existing MiFID II-regulated multilateral trading facility (MTF). By leveraging the MiCA cross-border notification framework, the company can offer these services across the entire EU, providing a regulated pathway for crypto-asset trading. This positions Perpetuals to offer brokers and institutions white-label access to its infrastructure, enabling them to provide regulated European crypto services to their clients.

The approval comes as the EU implements MiCA, a comprehensive regulatory framework for crypto-assets that aims to protect investors and promote innovation. Perpetuals' early compliance with MiCA demonstrates its commitment to regulatory standards and its ability to operate in a highly regulated environment. The company's existing infrastructure, including its Kronos X platform, is designed with full MiFID II, MiCA, DORA, and EMIR compliance, ensuring that its services meet stringent requirements.

Perpetuals.com Ltd. is a fintech company that develops AI-powered trading products and prediction markets, with a global footprint across the United States, Europe, and Asia. Its mission is to reduce risk by empowering retail users with intuitive, secure, and efficient trading experiences across multiple asset classes. The company's proprietary trading platform, Kronos X, combines advanced AI and data analysis, trained on billions of trades, monitors market activity in real time, identifies patterns for trading and risk decisions, and provides multi-asset coverage with self-clearing blockchain-based settlement.

The MiCA authorization is a strategic advantage for Perpetuals as it seeks to expand its presence in the European market. By offering regulated crypto services, the company can attract institutional clients who require compliance and security. The ability to provide white-label solutions also opens up new revenue streams, as other financial institutions can leverage Perpetuals' infrastructure to offer crypto services without having to build their own.
