POET Technologies Raises $150 Million in Oversubscribed Offering to Accelerate AI and Data Center Growth

POET Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: POET), a designer and developer of the POET Optical Interposer, Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs), and light sources for data center, telecommunications, and AI markets, has announced it entered securities purchase agreements with institutional investors for the sale of 20,689,655 common shares in an oversubscribed registered direct offering. The offering is expected to raise approximately $150 million in gross proceeds, reflecting strong investor confidence in POET's technology and market position.

The company plans to use the funds to support corporate development, targeted acquisitions, research and development expansion, acceleration of its light source business, and general working capital. This capital infusion comes at a critical time as demand for high-speed optical interconnects surges, driven by the exponential growth of AI workloads and hyperscale data center expansion.

POET's optical interposer platform enables seamless integration of electronic and photonic devices into a single chip using advanced wafer-level semiconductor manufacturing techniques. This results in lower cost, reduced power consumption, smaller size, and scalability to high production volumes. The company's products include high-speed optical engines and optical modules for 800G, 1.6T, and above, targeting AI clusters and hyperscale data centers. Additionally, POET has developed novel light source products for chip-to-chip data communication within and between AI servers, addressing bandwidth and latency challenges in AI systems.

The oversubscribed nature of the offering indicates strong institutional interest in POET's technology and growth prospects. Titan Partners Group, a division of American Capital Partners, acted as the sole placement agent for the offering. The transaction is expected to close promptly, subject to customary closing conditions.

POET's headquarters are in Toronto, Canada, with operations in Singapore, Penang, Malaysia, and Shenzhen, China. For more information, visit www.poet-technologies.com. The full press release is available at https://ibn.fm/Cb3u7.
