Powermax Minerals Completes 2026 Field Program at Cameron REE Project, Samples Now at Assay

Powermax Minerals Inc. has completed its 2026 field exploration program at the Cameron Rare Earth Element Project in British Columbia, the company announced. The program collected 250 rock-chip, soil and stream-sediment samples, which are now undergoing laboratory analysis at AGAT Laboratories. The assay results are expected to help determine whether previously identified rare-earth anomalies and geological observations warrant follow-up exploration.

The Cameron project has already shown promise. Earlier soil samples returned total rare earth oxide (TREO) values ranging from approximately 135 to 2,840 parts per million. Those results indicate the presence of rare-earth mineralization, and the new batch of samples will help define the extent and grade of the anomalies. If the assays confirm and expand upon the earlier findings, they could justify a more advanced exploration phase, including drilling.

The work at Cameron is part of Powermax’s broader rare-earth portfolio, which spans British Columbia, Ontario and Wyoming. The company holds an option to acquire the Cameron REE Property, comprising three mineral claims totaling approximately 2,984 hectares. It also has options on the Atikokan and Pinard REE properties in northwestern Ontario, and owns a 100% interest in the Ogden Bear Lodge Project in Crook County, Wyoming. Exploration is advancing at all these properties, positioning Powermax as a multi-jurisdictional player in the critical minerals space.

The timing of the assay results is significant. Global demand for magnet-related rare earths—such as neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium—is projected to rise sharply as the world transitions to clean energy and electric vehicles. These elements are essential for high-strength permanent magnets used in wind turbines, EV motors and consumer electronics. At the same time, North American governments and industries are pushing to diversify critical-mineral supply chains away from China, which currently dominates rare earth production and processing. A domestic discovery of economic rare-earth mineralization could therefore attract significant attention from investors and strategic partners.

For Powermax, positive assay results from Cameron would represent a major de-risking milestone. The company’s shares trade on the CSE under the symbol PMAX and on the OTCQB as PWMXF.
