The PR Insights 2025: Mastering Connection in the Age of Disruption summit will take place on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Strive Workspaces in Denver, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Co-hosted by the Colorado and Pikes Peak Chapters of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the event is open to all public relations, communications and marketing professionals. Registration is now open, with early bird discounts available through October 3, 2025.
“Building and growing skills, especially during times of change, is critical to being a successful communicator,” said Samantha Coulter, president of the Colorado Chapter of PRSA. “Our local PRSA Chapters are excited to collaborate and provide this opportunity to our members and community.”
The summit features a series of targeted workshops led by industry experts. Topics include: “Disrupted or Dominant? The PR Pro’s Playbook for Thriving with AI” by Dr. Eric Goodman of Innovate AI Systems; “It’s Not About You: Rewiring Your PR Strategy with an Audience-First Mindset” by Michelle Baum, co-founder and COO of The Nova Method; “Embrace the Future: Leveraging the Power of Influencer Engagement” by Elexis Schroder, founder of SchroderHaus; “Communicating to Connect” by Susan M. Pahlau, assistant professor of communication at Colorado Christian University; “Commanding the Crisis: Strategy, Trust, and Action” by Natalie Sosa and Amy Jo Fields of El Paso County; “Plain Language: More Than Just Simple Words” by Robert Austin of the Denver City Council; and an SEO session by Natalie Henley of Volume Nine Digital Marketing.
Registration is available at the PRSA Colorado event page for both PRSA members and non-members. The summit is designed to equip communications professionals with practical skills to navigate the current media landscape, which is increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, shifting audience expectations, and the need for transparent crisis communication.
This event is particularly significant as it addresses the challenges posed by rapid technological disruption. Sessions on AI and SEO highlight the growing importance of digital tools in public relations, while the focus on audience-first strategy and plain language underscores the need for clarity and relevance in messaging. The crisis communication workshop offers strategies for maintaining trust during high-pressure situations, a critical skill in today’s 24/7 news cycle.
The Colorado and Pikes Peak Chapters of PRSA represent over 400 members across nonprofit, education, corporate, agency, and independent practice backgrounds. By collaborating on this summit, the chapters aim to foster professional development and networking opportunities that strengthen the communications community in Colorado.
