Pyrite Digital, formerly Pyrite Technologies, celebrated its 14th anniversary on August 21 by announcing a strategic reset that positions the agency for the AI-driven search landscape. The company unveiled four key changes: a rebrand to Pyrite Digital, the inclusion of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) in every SEO engagement, and a partnership with AI search platform GazeSEO to scale GEO and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) across its client base.
Founded in Hyderabad in 2012 by CEO Matta Satish Kumar, Pyrite has grown from a traditional SEO practice to a full-service digital marketing agency. Over 14 years, it has scaled more than 500 brands and over 250 global names, with operations in the United States and India. The rebrand reflects a broader service offering that now includes paid media, content, web development, and marketing technology, alongside organic and AI search visibility.
Effective since June 2026, GEO services are now bundled into all organic search engagements without additional cost. This move comes as 30% of client traffic and revenue now originates from LLM-driven referral surfaces like Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. According to the company, the signals that drive AI citations—topical authority, structured schema, entity consistency, and verified presence on trusted third-party sources—are the same signals that build durable organic rankings. By integrating GEO into standard SEO, Pyrite aims to eliminate silos and deliver faster results.
The partnership with GazeSEO provides Pyrite with a platform to audit AI citation landscapes, score content for SEO, GEO, and AEO readiness, and track visibility across Google and AI answer engines. Client dashboards now show AI answer presence alongside traditional rank positions, extending the same entity and citation work to voice-first and assistant-driven discovery.
Pyrite reports tangible results from this approach. One U.S. heritage fine jewelry brand, starting with a Domain Rating of zero, achieved 3X revenue growth and a 10X return on ad spend within nine months, with 30% of final-quarter inbound traffic arriving through ChatGPT and other LLM referral sources. Existing retainer clients will see GEO deliverables and GazeSEO reporting integrated into their next strategy cycle at no fee change.
CEO Matta Satish Kumar emphasized the necessity of this shift: 'Fourteen years is long enough to know that the next shift is always closer than it looks. A new name, GEO in every engagement, and the right platform partner are three parts of the same decision. We would rather build for what is coming and be slightly early than sell our clients a service that is quietly expiring.'
This strategic overhaul underscores the growing importance of AI in search and positions Pyrite Digital to lead clients through the transition from traditional SEO to a more integrated approach that addresses both organic and AI-driven discovery.
