Recastia Launches PDF to Video Converter for Narrated MP4s

Recastia, a content repurposing platform, has introduced a PDF to video converter that allows users to create MP4 videos from PDF files. The tool is designed to turn product brochures, service guides, and other documents into videos suitable for exhibition screens, sales demonstrations, and event presentations.

The announcement matters because it addresses a common challenge for businesses: repurposing existing print-oriented materials into engaging video content without specialized skills or additional resources. By enabling selective page inclusion, the converter lets users highlight key information—such as product photographs and specifications—while omitting irrelevant sections like order forms or lengthy reference material.

The process begins with template previews. After choosing a template, users upload one or more PDFs and can adjust file order before merging. Word documents, PowerPoint files, and images are also supported. Users then select a generation mode and the pages to display.

The converter offers three modes: Minimal, Easy, and Advanced. Minimal Mode creates a display without voiceover, automatically showing selected pages with options for fixed display time per page or evenly divided total duration. Background music is optional, with library tracks or uploaded audio. Easy Mode uses a single continuous voiceover script for the entire video, while Advanced Mode allows separate scripts for each page. In both modes, users can write scripts themselves or use AI Copywriting to generate editable scripts from the PDFs, selecting the language and AI voice, and optionally adding subtitles and an avatar.

The tool supports landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16) formats for different screen orientations. Visual customization varies by template; for instance, the Page-Flipping Book template lets users choose a background image or upload their own, and add a colored cover border. Finished MP4s can be downloaded for playback on event screens or in presentations, and users can edit title and description, embed the video on a product website, share a unique link, or use a QR code on event materials.

"Users may want to introduce a product at an event without taking visitors through the entire brochure," said Winston Zhang, CEO of Recastia. "Our PDF to video converter helps them create that introduction from their existing documents in a format suited to the screen where the video will appear."

The launch positions Recastia in the growing content repurposing market, where businesses seek efficient ways to adapt materials for multiple channels. By simplifying video creation from PDFs, the company lowers the barrier to video production, potentially saving time and costs associated with traditional video creation.
