Red Oak, an Austin-based organization dedicated to ending cycles of abuse for survivors of sex trafficking, has announced its 10th Annual Red Oak Hope Gala, scheduled for September 28, 2025, at The Junior League of Austin. The event serves as a fundraiser to support the organization's comprehensive services, including crisis intervention, supportive housing, and holistic care for individuals escaping exploitation.
Since its founding in 2018, Red Oak has focused on providing long-term restoration and movement building to help survivors achieve freedom and hope. The gala will feature firsthand stories from frontline staff and outline the organization's vision for the future. Attendees will also participate in a live auction and donation appeal led by Cowboy Auctioneer, a longtime partner whose support over the past nine years has been critical to the event's success.
In a statement, the Red Oak team emphasized the importance of community involvement: 'Red Oak Hope exists to bring freedom, hope, and restoration to survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. With such a complex issue, we understand that none of us can do this healing work alone. Everyone has a role to play, and our annual A Night of Hope Gala is an opportunity for the community to join us in partnership to support survivors, grow our impact, and combat human trafficking.'
The gala aims to raise essential funds to sustain and expand Red Oak's programs, which have been instrumental in helping survivors break free from exploitation. The organization's holistic approach addresses the multifaceted needs of survivors, offering not only immediate crisis care but also long-term support to rebuild lives.
