SAF-HOLLAND SE, a global leader in trailer and truck components, announced the appointment of Alexandre Charpiot as President EMEA, effective September 1, 2026. He succeeds Christoph Gunter, who is departing for a new leadership role outside the group. Gunter, who served as President EMEA for nearly seven years, was instrumental in integrating Haldex in the region and expanding into strategic markets. CEO Alexander Geis thanked Gunter for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.
Charpiot, a 17-year veteran of SAF-HOLLAND, has held various leadership roles in original equipment and aftermarket businesses. Since joining in 2009, he managed aftermarket operations, logistics, purchasing, and product management. From 2022, as Vice President Sales OEM EMEA, he led sales activities, oversaw European subsidiaries, and played a key role in integrating Haldex, Tecma, and Assali Stefen. His extensive experience in the commercial vehicle industry and strong sales expertise position him well to continue the region's growth.
In his new role, Charpiot will align the EMEA region with the company's drive2030 strategy, focusing on strengthening market position, optimizing operational performance, and pursuing growth opportunities across the product portfolio. This leadership change underscores SAF-HOLLAND's commitment to maintaining its competitive edge in the EMEA market, which represents its largest regional business.
SAF-HOLLAND, headquartered in Bessenbach, Germany, reported sales of approximately EUR 1.73 billion in 2025 with about 5,600 employees. The company supplies chassis-related components for trailers, trucks, and buses under brands including SAF, Holland, and Haldex. It serves original equipment manufacturers on six continents and maintains a global distribution network for aftermarket parts. The company is listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange's Prime Standard and included in the SDAX.
