SS Innovations' SSi Mantra Surgical Robot Approved for Telesurgeries in Indonesia and Philippines, Surpasses 150 Procedures

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced today that its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system has been approved for telesurgeries in Indonesia and the Philippines. The company also revealed it has surpassed 150 cumulative telesurgeries performed using the system, primarily in India, marking a significant milestone in the adoption of remote robotic surgery.

The announcement comes amid a series of high-volume telesurgery demonstrations. On February 14, 2026, surgeons performed 18 inter-hospital telesurgeries between Indore and Bhopal, India, within an eight-hour period. The procedures included 13 gastric bypass operations led by Dr. Mohit Bhandari of Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics and five complex gynecological surgeries performed by Dr. Priya Bhave Chittawar of HER Health Hospital. All surgeries utilized the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact, chair-based version of the surgeon command center designed for portability and telesurgery from diverse settings.

This feat follows a December 23, 2025, telesurgery marathon from SS Innovations' headquarters, where nine surgeons completed 24 telesurgeries within 12 hours on patients across multiple Indian locations. The marathon included ten different procedure types, such as intricate cardiac surgeries, demonstrating the system's versatility.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, “The SSi Mantra surgical robotic system continues to pioneer telesurgery, not merely in concept but in real-world practice and rapidly growing adoption by leading physicians. We are thrilled to receive approval for telesurgeries utilizing the SSi Mantra in two new markets: Indonesia and the Philippines. We also are pleased to surpass the milestone of more than 150 telesurgeries successfully performed with the SSi Mantra, indicating that we are gaining significant traction in enabling state-of-the-art remote surgical care.”

The company is hosting the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference 2026 (SMRSC 2026) from April 9-11, 2026, in New Delhi, India. The conference will feature more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra, spanning multiple specialties and led by top experts. Registration is available at SS Innovations SMRSC 2026 Registration.

The SSi Mantra system is a modular, multi-arm robotic platform with features including an open-faced ergonomic surgeon console, 3D 4K visualization, and over 40 types of robotic instruments. It has been clinically validated in India for more than 100 surgical procedure types. The regulatory approvals in Indonesia and the Philippines, combined with the growing volume of telesurgeries, underscore the system's potential to break down geographical barriers and improve access to specialized surgical care in underserved regions.
