SS Innovations to Host Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference in New Delhi, Showcasing Cutting-Edge Telesurgery and Drone Trauma Systems

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII), a developer of surgical robotic technologies, announced it will host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India from April 9-11, 2026. The conference, now in its third year, is expected to draw over 1,400 attendees and 600 virtual participants from 17 nations, surpassing last year's turnout, according to a company press release.

The event will feature more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, spanning multiple specialties. These demonstrations will explore critical aspects of telesurgery, including connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols. Among the innovations showcased will be the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact, chair-based version of the surgeon command center that enables portability and facilitates telesurgeries from settings such as physician offices.

A highlight of the conference is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a drone-deployed trauma surgery system currently under development. Designed for battlefield use, it lands near casualties and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom, operated remotely by a trauma surgeon. The system is equipped with 5mm instruments to address hemorrhaging, wound repair, chest decompression, shrapnel extraction, and field suturing, aiming to stabilize patients until evacuation. More details on the conference agenda are available on the SS Innovations website.

Other exhibits include Project Operion, an interactive display of the "Operating Room of the Future," featuring a mobile operating room platform on wheels. The MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit (MantraM bus) will also be on display, designed to bring surgical robotic care to underserved communities. The conference will include multispecialty and cardiac-focused sessions, with live surgical demonstrations and panel discussions in urology, thoracic, gastroenterology, head and neck, gynecology, colorectal, general, and pediatric surgery.

Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, Vice-Chairman of SS Innovations and widely recognized as the "Father of Robotic Surgery"; Sri Madhusudan Sai, a global humanitarian; Dr. Naresh Treahan, Managing Director of Medanta; Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of the ISRO Satellite Center; and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari, Chairman of the Department of Urology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, "We are thrilled to host SMRSC 2026 this week in New Delhi, where global experts in surgical robotic care will convene to discuss innovation and the future of our field. From live telesurgeries and robotic surgeries to demonstrations of exciting new technologies, this year’s event will be our largest and will continue to elevate the theme of decentralizing and democratizing access to surgical robotic care."

The conference will be held at the West Plaza, Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Registration is open at the conference registration page. The event underscores SS Innovations' mission to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible globally, with its SSi Mantra system clinically validated in over 100 surgical procedures in India.
