The Martial Arts History Museum in Glendale, California, will host the movie premiere of "The Match-Stick Flame 3: Red Mafia" on March 7, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event includes a red carpet from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., followed by the screening from 4:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 201 N Brand Blvd B100, Glendale, CA 91203.
Directed by Michael Matsuda, the film follows Detective Dalton (Craig Bruss), a Navy SEAL veteran turned bounty hunter, as he completes a DEA assignment to dismantle the remaining Lunada Bay gang members in Rancho Palos Verdes. Dalton, grappling with PTSD, seeks alternative medicine strategies through karate Sensei Darryl Vidal and traditional therapy. The plot intensifies when DEA Agent Prasad (Vineeta Prasad) is kidnapped by the Russian mob, the "Red Mafia," forcing Dalton to reconnect with Chief Higgins, the Match Stick Mobsters, and Jake to rescue her.
Museum Director Michael Matsuda noted the film's natural fit for the venue, describing it as "an action film with mixed martial arts featuring highly experienced actors/martial artists such as Darryl Vidal, known for the ‘crane kick’ in The Karate Kid and playing a referee in Cobra Kai Season 6." The premiere offers an opportunity for the community to engage with martial arts cinema in an intimate setting.
Tickets are available at the door for $12 for adults and $5 for children aged 17 and under. The museum is located at the corner of Brand and Wilson, next to a Muay Thai school. Parking is available at the 4-story tower at 222 N. Orange Street, with the first 90 minutes free.
"The Match-Stick Flame 3: Red Mafia" will soon be available on streaming platforms including Tubi, Amazon, and YouTube. Previous installments are already accessible on Tubi: The Match-Stick Flame and The Match-Stick Flame 2: Lunada Bay.
