The Mommy Archives is organizing a Family Dance Party to unite New York City families while supporting single mothers in Brooklyn. Scheduled for Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 3–6 PM at Moxy Williamsburg's Bar Bedford Garden, the event aims to attract over 200 parents and children for an afternoon of music, dancing, and family-friendly activities. Net proceeds will benefit Single Moms of Brooklyn, a local initiative that provides emotional support, community, and resources to single mothers. Additionally, family brand Nuna will donate $5,000 worth of products to Room to Grow, a nonprofit assisting families in poverty during their child's early years.
The event underscores The Mommy Archives' mission to build community among NYC parents and create opportunities to support organizations serving families. Founder Jules Ferdowsi emphasized the personal significance of the cause, stating, "Community is at the heart of everything we do at The Mommy Archives, and I know firsthand how important it is for parents to have a community they can turn to." As a member of Single Moms of Brooklyn, Ferdowsi highlighted the importance of giving back to a community that has supported her own journey as a solo parent.
Beyond fundraising through ticket sales, the partnership with Nuna extends the event's impact to families beyond attendees. Moxy Williamsburg's venue support provides a welcoming space for the festivities, which will include a DJ, photo booth, face painting, crafts, glitter tattoos, games, and other activities. The gathering is designed to foster joy and connection while translating community spirit into tangible support for parents and children.
