Southwest Michigan is celebrating a significant achievement in tourism as three of its beaches have been named among Michigan's Top 10 by USA TODAY readers. Silver Beach County Park, Tiscornia Beach, and Warren Dunes State Park earned spots on the 2026 10Best Readers' Choice list, underscoring the region's reputation as a premier beach destination.
Silver Beach County Park ranked No. 4, Tiscornia Beach No. 7, and Warren Dunes State Park No. 10 in the statewide poll. The recognition is particularly notable because the three beaches are located within a short drive of each other along the Lake Michigan coast, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience multiple award-winning shorelines in one trip.
"Having three beaches ranked among Michigan's Top 10 is an incredible honor for Southwest Michigan and speaks to the exceptional quality and variety of experiences available along our Lake Michigan shoreline," said Marcy Simpson, Executive Director of Visit Southwest Michigan. Each beach offers a distinct experience. Warren Dunes State Park features towering sand dunes and wooded trails for hiking and exploration. Silver Beach County Park provides a vibrant waterfront atmosphere with family-friendly attractions, including a carousel and splash pad. Tiscornia Beach offers scenic shoreline views and a historic lighthouse, creating a more tranquil setting.
The USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards are determined through public voting following nominations by a panel of travel experts. The annual rankings recognize outstanding destinations and attractions across the country.
Simpson emphasized that the recognition reflects the broader appeal of Southwest Michigan beyond its beaches.
