Toblerone today announced 'The Ultimate Gift,' a collaboration with Swarovski that transforms its iconic triangular chocolate bar into a handcrafted crystal masterpiece. The limited-edition Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski will be auctioned at select global airports and online from July 1 to July 31, 2026, with 100% of winning bids donated to local charities chosen by each airport.
The crystal bar measures 305mm in length, weighs 851g, and features 546 individually cut facets. Each piece requires 140 hours of development and 65 hours of handcrafted production using high-precision cutting technology. The bars are individually numbered, certified, and modeled after the original Toblerone chocolate bar, which debuted in Switzerland in 1908 and has since become a travel gift staple.
Pop-up experiences at airports including Athens, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York JFK, Singapore, and Zurich will allow travelers to bid in person. Online bidding is also available globally, with details on the auction site and participating charities accessible here and here.
Iain Livingston, President of Toblerone & World Travel Retail, stated: 'Toblerone has always been more than a chocolate bar. It's a ritual, a symbol of travel, and one of the world's most recognized gifts. Creating the Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski feels like a natural expression of who we are: a brand that takes quality seriously but never takes itself too seriously. The Ultimate Gift is exactly that and will raise funds to support brilliant causes that help make the world a better place.'
For those seeking an immediate souvenir, Toblerone is also releasing a limited-edition Ultimate Gift Box adorned with Swarovski crystals, available exclusively in World Travel Retail stores. The box contains a standard Milk Toblerone bar, blending luxury packaging with the familiar chocolate inside.
The collaboration highlights shared values between the two Swiss-rooted brands: a commitment to quality craftsmanship and unpretentious beauty. Swarovski, founded in Austria in 1895, brings expertise in crystal design and manufacturing, while Toblerone's triangular shape remains one of the most recognized silhouettes globally. The partnership aims to merge tradition with innovation, offering a unique collectible that also supports community-based charities.
Each airport's auction benefits a pre-selected local charity, ensuring the funds directly impact communities in need. The initiative underscores Toblerone's broader 'Never Square' philosophy, which celebrates non-conformity and meaningful gifts. By combining luxury, travel nostalgia, and philanthropy, 'The Ultimate Gift' positions itself as both a rare artifact and a force for good.
