Topper's RV, a family-owned dealership in Waller, Texas, is drawing attention to its expanded lineup of Forest River RV products, including Rockwood Freedom Series folding campers, Rockwood Signature fifth wheels, and Forest River bunkhouse models. The move matters because it gives Texas shoppers a wider range of choices at a time when interest in affordable, flexible camping options continues to grow. By stocking everything from lightweight pop-ups to large fifth wheels, the dealership is positioning itself as a one-stop source for both first-time buyers and experienced RVers.
The centerpiece of the update is the Rockwood Freedom Series. The 2026 Rockwood Freedom Series 1930FT measures 16 feet 7 inches, weighs 2,178 pounds dry, and sleeps up to six. It comes with air conditioning, a 12V refrigerator, and a 100-watt roof-mounted solar panel, making it suitable for off-grid trips. The larger 2026 Rockwood Freedom Series 2270FT is 18 feet 7 inches, weighs 2,478 pounds dry, and also sleeps six, but adds two tent-end beds, an outdoor griddle, and a toilet/shower. These features matter because they lower the barrier to entry for camping while still offering modern conveniences. Shoppers specifically searching for a Rockwood Forest River pop-up camper will find multiple configurations to compare, including the 2027 Rockwood Freedom Series 122S.
For those who need more space, Topper's RV also carries Forest River fifth wheels. The Forest River Sanibel 39BUNK is 44 feet long, has four slide-outs, sleeps six, and includes a dedicated bunkhouse and kitchen island. The Rockwood Signature R281RK is a 29-foot fifth wheel with two slide-outs, a rear kitchen, a front bedroom, and sleeping capacity for four, with a dry weight of 8,203 pounds. These models cater to couples, families, and groups, and they provide a clear upgrade path for campers who started with a pop-up. The availability of Forest River bunkhouse fifth wheels in Texas means buyers can inspect these units locally rather than traveling out of state.
Beyond sales, Topper's RV operates service and parts departments from its Waller location, offering maintenance, inspections, appliance work, electrical services, and roof repairs. This integrated approach is significant because it simplifies ownership for customers who want a single point of contact for both purchase and long-term care. The dealership has been under the same family ownership since 1967, with three generations of the L.A. Troutt family involved. That longevity provides a measure of stability in a market where many dealerships come and go.
"Our approach to RV sales is to offer assistance and listen closely to customers' needs and preferences so they can find a camper that fits their camping needs and budget," said Robby Scott, Sales Manager at Topper's RV. The emphasis on listening reflects a broader trend in the RV industry, where buyers increasingly expect personalized guidance rather than a one-size-fits-all sales pitch. For shoppers looking for pop-up campers for sale in Texas, the expanded inventory means more opportunities to compare length, weight, sleeping capacity, and floor-plan features side by side.
Topper's RV sells new and used RVs and also carries Forest River brands such as Sandpiper, Wildwood, and Crusader. The company offers financing and insurance, making it easier for buyers to bundle services. For those who want to learn more about the dealership's history and approach, the Topper's RV about page provides background. Additional details are available through the dealership's https://toppers.media-room.app/ media room. With its latest inventory update, Topper's RV is reinforcing its role as a key player in Texas camping and outdoor recreation.
