Tradegate AG has published its half-year report for 2026, showcasing exceptional growth in a period marked by market volatility. The Berlin-based market specialist for shares and exchange-traded products (ETPs) reported a 15% increase in revenue, reaching approximately EUR 281 billion on the Tradegate Berlin Stock Exchange (Tradegate BSX). This growth was accompanied by a significant 31.7% rise in the number of individual transactions, totaling 47,497,913 trades.
The first six months of the year saw varying performance across months, with January and June recording the highest increases in turnover at around 50%, while March and April experienced declines of 5.5% and 13.2%, respectively. Despite these fluctuations, the company benefited from periods of high market volatility, which allowed for better gross margins in securities trading compared to the previous year.
As a result, profit from ordinary activities grew disproportionately to the rise in turnover, increasing by 63.7% to EUR 66.11 million. Net profit after tax followed suit, rising by 64.2% to EUR 46.087 million. This robust financial performance underscores the company's ability to capitalize on market conditions and its operational efficiency.
Looking ahead, Tradegate AG has indicated that the momentum has continued into the second half of the year. In the first six weeks of the second half, the company reported moderate growth in turnover of around 12% compared to the same period last year, suggesting sustained investor activity and confidence.
The half-yearly report is available on the company's website at www.tradegate.ag, providing detailed insights into its financial performance and strategic initiatives.
