Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG) (FSE:47I) has released the first exploration update for its 10,115-hectare Kena Gold-Copper Property in southeastern British Columbia, highlighting multiple high-grade gold-silver-copper showings beyond existing historic resource boundaries and identifying 22 priority diamond drill targets. The results stem from a surface rock geochemical sampling program completed in July 2025, which confirmed the presence of a large, multi-zone mineralized system with strong expansion potential.
The surface program focused on known historic showings and new exposures from recent logging roads. Among the most significant results are samples from the Lower and Upper Euphrates Au-Ag showings, located in the southern half of the property, which returned up to 26.1 g/t Au and 179 g/t Ag. These showings are aligned along strike for eight kilometers to the Kena lode gold body and share similar geological, geochemical, and geophysical signatures. The area has no known prior drilling. Other notable results came from the Cat, Shaft, Dighem, and Princess Cu-Au-Ag showings along the east side of the Kena gold body, with rock samples assaying up to 1.68% Cu, 5.41 g/t Au, and 18 g/t Ag. These showings are associated with a strong IP chargeability anomaly measuring 1.8 by 0.6 kilometers, yet only five reconnaissance drill holes have been completed historically across the entire area.
The Kena Copper Zone and South Gold Zone, trending southeast from the main gold body, returned surface samples up to 1.31 g/t Au and coincide with historic drill intersections of up to 117 meters of 0.22% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au. These zones align with a strong IP chargeability anomaly and broad copper-gold soil geochemical anomalies, supporting the potential for significant volumes of mineralized material.
CEO Sophy Cesar stated, “This initial field program represents an important step in advancing our understanding of the Kena Gold-Copper Property. The results support our exploration model and help define priority targets for follow-up diamond drilling beyond the existing lode gold bearing body.” The company has identified 22 proposed drill collar sites both inside and outside the historic resource, which remains open along strike and at depth.
The Kena Property hosts a historical gold resource (non-compliant with NI 43-101 as current) of 32.1 million tonnes indicated at 0.544 g/t Au for 561,000 ounces, and 177.5 million tonnes inferred at 0.486 g/t Au for 2.77 million ounces, as per a 2021 technical report. Upside Gold is not treating this as current and plans additional drilling to upgrade it.
The company believes the mineralized system extends well into the southern half of the property, an area with no previous diamond drilling, and may be repeated on the western side. The Kootenay region has been historically overlooked for gold and copper exploration, offering discovery potential.
