Verizon today announced the launch of the Gizmo Watch 4, the latest addition to its Verizon Family ecosystem. Designed to provide parents and guardians with enhanced peace of mind, the smartwatch introduces advanced safety features including Watch Removal Detection alerts, real-time location insights, and upcoming real-time severe weather notifications. The device is available starting today, with a promotional offer allowing new and existing customers to get the Gizmo Watch 4 for free when adding a new watch line on a 36-month payment plan, valid from July 9 through September 3, 2026.
The Gizmo Watch 4 was developed with input from real parents to address common concerns about children's safety and independence. It functions as an invisible safety net, enabling kids to enjoy freedom without exposure to social media apps or unfiltered web browsers. Key safety features include real-time location tracking, customizable safe zones, watch removal alerts, and a distraction-free school mode. Parents can manage up to 40 trusted contacts to prevent communication with strangers.
In terms of durability and performance, the watch boasts a water-resistant design with a 1.6-inch scratch-resistant glass screen. It is powered by a faster processor and a battery that lasts up to three days, supporting high-quality video calling on Verizon's network. The device integrates seamlessly with the Verizon Family app, allowing centralized management of safety and wellness features. Additional tools include step counters, to-do lists, and kid-friendly educational content.
Verizon is also enhancing the overall value for families through its new loyalty program, which eliminates standard activation and device upgrade fees for Gizmo Watch customers enrolled via the My Verizon app. Furthermore, the Verizon Shine program offers weekly chances to win experiences and daily drops of concert tickets, merchandise, and gift cards, providing year-round rewards for Verizon customers on any plan.
The Gizmo Watch 4 is available in two colors: Dusk Blue and Pistachio Pin. It can be ordered at verizon.com or through the My Verizon App. For additional resources on digital parenting, Verizon offers information at Parenting in a Digital World.
