VinFast and GSM have announced significant leadership transitions, with Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh assuming the role of CEO of VinFast Global, succeeding Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong, while also taking on the positions of Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam. Concurrently, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan becomes Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Ms. Pham Thu Huong, and Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang is appointed CEO of GSM Global and CEO of GSM Vietnam. These changes, effective immediately, reflect Vingroup's strategic focus on cultivating in-house talent and transitioning leadership to a younger generation as both companies enter a phase of strong global growth.
The appointments are critical as VinFast and GSM accelerate their international expansion. VinFast, present in 16 countries including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, Europe, the Middle East, and North America, manufactures electric vehicles at four facilities across three countries. GSM, operating its Green SM brand in seven countries such as Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan, and Denmark, plans to enter at least three more markets this year and aims to list on an international stock exchange. The leadership reshuffle positions these companies to seize emerging opportunities in sustainable mobility and green transportation.
Mr. Pham Nhat Quan Anh, born in 1993, holds a Bachelor's degree from Singapore Management University and has held key roles within Vingroup. As Chairman of VinFast Global since May 2026, he has been instrumental in VinFast's domestic and international growth. In his expanded role, he will oversee all VinFast operations, driving the company's mission to advance global sustainable mobility. He also continues as CEO of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC. His comprehensive experience and strategic mindset are expected to steer VinFast through its next growth phase.
At GSM, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, formerly CEO of GSM Global, brings continuity as Chairman, while Mr. Pham Nhat Minh Hoang, born in 2000, takes over as CEO. Mr. Hoang has held senior positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, and GSM, and is a major shareholder in several Vingroup ecosystem companies, including VinSpeed, VinEnergo, VinMetal, VinVentures, and robotics firms. His entrepreneurial background and deep involvement in diverse sectors position him to lead GSM's expansion and its transition to a publicly listed entity.
These leadership changes underscore Vingroup's commitment to nurturing talent and adapting to the demands of rapid globalization. By entrusting younger leaders with greater responsibilities, VinFast and GSM aim to maintain agility and innovation in competitive markets. The moves also signal confidence in the next generation's ability to drive the companies' visions forward, ensuring sustained growth and reinforcing their roles in the global shift toward electric vehicles and green mobility solutions.
