Vinmec Launches Vietnam's First Integrated High-Tech Robotic Surgery Network

Vinmec Healthcare System today officially launched its nationwide network of High-Tech Robotic Surgery Centers, marking a major milestone in the advancement of surgical innovation in Vietnam. The network is built on Vietnam's first and only multi-connected robotic surgery ecosystem, linking multiple specialties, hospitals, and global technology partners to expand access to cutting-edge surgical care.

The defining feature of the new network is its integrated operating platform, which brings together world-leading robotic technologies across Vinmec hospitals. Vinmec Times City International Hospital serves as the clinical coordination hub, linking centers at Vinmec Smart City, Vinmec Da Nang, Vinmec Central Park, Vinmec Can Tho, and other locations. For general surgery, Vinmec operates platforms such as Da Vinci Xi, Hugo RAS, and Toumai MT-1000, the latter enabling 5G-enabled remote robotic surgery. In orthopedics, robots like ROSA, MISSO, and CORI support personalized surgical planning with millimeter-level precision. For neurosurgery and spine surgery, the StealthStation S8, Mazor X Stealth Edition, and O-arm with StealthStation O2 provide real-time navigation and intraoperative imaging.

Vinmec is also the first in Vietnam to develop a "3-in-1" robotic surgery model based on personalization, automation, and standardization. Patients receive individualized plans through preoperative 3D reconstruction and simulation, AI-enabled robotic assistance, and treatment according to international standards. To operate this ecosystem, Vinmec has developed a multidisciplinary team with rigorous training and international certification.

Alongside the network launch, Vinmec announced the Robotic Surgery Patient Support Fund, backed by nearly VND 300 billion from Vingroup, to reduce financial barriers. At the event, Prof. Tran Van Thuan, Deputy Minister of Health, praised Vinmec's vision and the fund's humanitarian value. Prof. Tran Trung Dung, CEO of Vinmec, stated that the network aims to provide patients access to advanced innovations while positioning Vietnam as a regional destination for high-tech healthcare. Assoc. Prof. Pham Van Binh emphasized that the centers integrate clinical practice, academic training, and research.

The launch represents a significant step in accelerating Vietnam's transition toward precision and technology-driven surgery, laying the foundation for the country to emerge as a regional hub for robotic surgery in Southeast Asia.
