VYRAX has introduced VYRAX Core, a training system that merges a traditional ab roller with high-intensity interval training. The product, announced by the sports and fitness research and development center, is designed for users seeking more variety in core workouts. At the heart of the system are integrated side supports that enable transitions between Roller Mode and Interval Mode in three seconds. The company unveiled the product through a VYRAX today unveiled VYRAX Core, a many-in-one training system.
The core innovation addresses a common problem with cranking-based exercise equipment: the need for a separate docking station to switch between moving and stationary exercises. By building the supports directly into the unit, VYRAX aims to create a seamless flow. Supports up allow for rolling; supports down hold the unit in place for training. This design could reduce setup time and space requirements, making it easier for users to alternate between dynamic and static movements without interrupting their workout.
In Roller Mode, the wheels contact the floor and roll as the user turns the handles. This mode supports controlled back-and-forth movement and bear-crawl-style rolls, with options to add suspended knee raises. An included wheeled foot support helps keep the knees and toes from dragging during exercises that require lower-body movement. Such features may appeal to users who want to engage multiple muscle groups while maintaining proper form.
In Interval Mode, the deployed side supports stabilize the unit while the user cranks the handles. Users can alternate high-intensity efforts with recovery periods or incorporate movements such as mountain climbers and push-ups. Pace, range of motion, and work-to-rest intervals can all be adapted to suit the user's desired intensity level. This flexibility means the system can serve both beginners and advanced athletes, potentially increasing its market reach.
The system uses a stainless-steel bar and supports, with a company-stated supported load of up to 650 lb. The package includes the main unit (handlebar, wheels, and retractable legs), a foot support, and an Allen wrench for assembly. The high load capacity and durable materials suggest the equipment is built for rigorous use, which could be a significant selling point for serious fitness enthusiasts.
VYRAX plans to introduce VYRAX Core on Kickstarter in October 2026, marking the team's first campaign on the platform. The development schedule targets production in December 2026 and rewards shipping in February 2027. Launching on Kickstarter allows the company to gauge consumer interest and secure funding before mass production. If successful, this campaign could pave the way for future products from VYRAX and demonstrate demand for multifunctional home gym equipment.
The announcement matters because it reflects a growing trend in fitness: the demand for versatile, space-saving tools that support comprehensive workouts. By combining cardio, endurance, and strength training in one device, VYRAX Core aims to make exercise more accessible in everyday settings. As home fitness continues to evolve, innovations like this could reshape how people train their core and overall fitness.
