Western Star Resources Finalizes 10-Hole, 5,000-Foot Drill Program Across Nevada Tungsten Properties

Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has announced priority drill targets and a planned four-hole, approximately 1,950-foot drill program at its 100% owned White Star Tungsten Project in Elko County, Nevada. Combined with the six holes and approximately 3,050 feet announced at the Rowland property on October 13, 2026, the company’s planned 2026 Nevada drill program now totals 10 holes and approximately 5,000 feet (1,524 metres) from seven drill pads across the two properties. This marks the third project in Western Star’s U.S. tungsten portfolio to reach the drill-target stage in 2026, and the consolidated program is designed to test both properties as a single, district-scale campaign.

The White Star targets were developed using an integrated approach combining the maiden field program, a UAV magnetic survey, three-dimensional magnetic inversion, and rock-chip and soil assay results. Each planned hole tests one of two tungsten-in-soil anomalies defined in 2026: the North Zone and the South Zone. At the North Zone, two holes totaling 1,000 feet will test beneath rock-chip sample WS-16-01 (0.126% WO3) and the southern part of the soil anomaly, which is developed across the quartz monzonite–tactite contact mapped by Coats (1964), the conventional setting for tungsten skarn mineralization. The South Zone comprises two holes totaling 950 feet, testing beneath soil sample B206 (2,230 ppm W; 0.28% WO3), the highest value returned at White Star, and adjacent anomalous samples B205 and B203. The inversion shows the South Zone overlying a non-magnetic trough that coincides with an interpreted magnetic-low lineament. All planned drill pads are sited on existing disturbance, and hole locations remain preliminary pending field verification and permitting.

Permitting is advancing in parallel, with a Plan of Operations being prepared by KC Harvey Environmental for submission to the U.S. Forest Service, alongside the Nevada Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation reclamation permit. The objective is to drill Rowland and White Star as a single campaign. Blake Morgan, CEO and President, stated, “Following our Rowland announcement, White Star moves into the drill-target stage on the back of the same integrated field season. The Batholith Mine is the only documented historical tungsten producer in the Charleston Mining District, and our maiden program has built a modern dataset around it for the first time.” He added that the consolidated Jarbidge–Charleston tungsten footprint can now move into a district-scale campaign of ten holes and approximately 5,000 feet.

The announcement is significant because it completes the design of the company’s 2026 Nevada drill program across two properties, potentially improving operational efficiency and reducing costs by drilling both targets in one campaign. It also confirms that White Star, like Rowland, has reached the drill-ready stage, advancing Western Star’s strategic focus on tungsten and critical minerals in the United States. The company is positioning itself in a domestic tungsten exploration space that has gained attention due to supply chain concerns. Detailed drill targets and the combined program are summarized in Table 1: White Star drill targets and the combined 2026 Nevada drill program. The North Zone plan and cross-section are shown in Figure 2: North Zone – plan and cross-section A–A′ through planned holes WST26-01 and WST26-02, with modelled magnetic susceptibility and the soil anomaly. The South Zone plan and cross-section are illustrated in Figure 3: South Zone – plan and cross-section B–B′ through planned holes WST26-03 and WST26-04, showing the non-magnetic trough beneath the soil anomaly. Planned drill hole collar locations and orientations are provided in Table 2: Planned drill hole collar locations and orientations, White Star Tungsten Project.
